“My name is Jojo and I was actually the first to join Olga’s Pet Sanctuary.  I was really one of the luckier ones because I did have a nice home when I was a puppy.  I was and still am one of those feisty, independent terriers and apparently drove my first home nuts.   But they cared enough about me to find me a really good home.  Olga took me in and she told everybody that I was just too lovable to turn away.  I know I became her favorite, even when I got in trouble.  Olga was my “mom” for eight years.  Then she went away.  I waited for her for six months before I got very sick, too.   Helene took care of me like she took care of Olga and I am better now.  And I know I am still at home.

Sometimes in my dreams I can feel Olga scratch me behind the ears or on my tummy.  Sometimes I can hear her whisper my name.  Sometimes in the morning light when we’re all sitting around Helene in the garden and waiting for the sun to come up over the hill, I see something. . . just a quick glimpse and a little breeze through my hair.
